Major League Baseball All-Stars Stamps First Day of Issue
On the first day of the Minnesota Stamp Expo (Friday, July 20, 2012), the United States Postal Service will issue the Major League Baseball All-Stars stamps in Cooperstown, New York. The sheet of 20 stamps features Joe DiMaggio of the New York Yankees, Larry Doby of the Cleveland Indians, Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox. To celebrate the stamps (and Ted Williams' connection to Minnesota), a special First Day ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Minnesota Stamp Expo.
